Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko : Everything Flows

The Backburner Hero: Obi and His Quiet Love for Shirayuki

If you are watching both seasons of Akagami no Shirayuki Hime, you will meet the underrated pair of Shirayuki and Obi. Although this ship is not official, many fans believe that Obi had feelings for her. In Season 2, we are glad to see it animated when Obi accompanies Shirayuki back to her kingdom, showing cute and subtle interactions that hint at his feelings. These quiet moments tease us as fans, with thin feelings like air, adding spice to the story. Obi may not be the second male lead, since Shirayuki clearly loves Zen, but we can still call him the Backburner Hero, the kind of character we root for in our fanfiction universe.

Why You Should Watch 'This Monster Wants to Eat Me': A Thrilling Yuri Anime

This year is packed with exciting yuri anime adapted from manga, and This Monster Wants to Eat Me has captured my attention. This thrilling blend of fantasy, action, and dark psychological yuri is one I’ve eagerly awaited to see animated. Unlike typical yuri with cute interactions, this series dives into a darker, more intense narrative. Even with minimal physical contact, the characters’ expressions vividly convey their deep love, making it a must-watch. The Story This Monster Wants to Eat Me tells the story of Hinako, an orphaned girl who despises summer because it reminds her of losing her family in a tragic accident. Gloomy and suicidal, she feels trapped in a life she lives halfheartedly, unable to end it. Introverted and distant, Hinako avoids making friends, except for one person, Miko. One day, overwhelmed by her desire to die, Hinako stares out at the sea. A monstrous creature emerges, intent on devouring her, and in that moment, she hesitates about wanting to die. Suddenly,...
